Fish for the Future Foundation

Fish for the Future Foundation, an IRS approved non-profit 501(c) 3 institution, was established to improve the scientific and economic understanding of U.S. marine fisheries management and the seafood industry. Fish for the Future provides a unique forum for commercial and recreational fishermen, federal, state and local officials, members of the council family, and the environmental community to discuss, collaborate and develop sound solutions and policy options. Marine fisheries are vital to the United States' economy and food security. The foundation seeks to bring all interested parties together to participate in improving U.S. marine fisheries management and the seafood industry. By bringing all the interested and affected parties together, Fish for the Future Foundation seeks to have the fisheries debate based on facts rather than emotions. Fish for the Future's goal is to form a coalition of supporters for American fisheries and seafood.

In addition, Fish for the Future Foundation will create a unique opportunity for public understanding and interaction with the eight Regional Fishery Management Councils and the National Marine Fisheries Service. Through public and private partnerships, the Foundation will design programs based on the need to balance conservation and use of marine resources to educate the public about our marine fisheries.

Fish for the Future Foundation, a non-profit institution, accepts support from individuals, groups, and corporations interested in ensuring that the need to balance conservation and use of marine fisheries is understood by the public. Your tax deductible contribution is an investment in the wise use of our marine fisheries.
